Product Care Guide

At Successfully Sustainable, we take pride in offering clothing made from certified organic, sustainable materials. To ensure your garments last as long as possible while maintaining their quality and integrity, it’s essential to follow proper care instructions. Below are our recommended guidelines to keep your sustainable wardrobe looking its best.

General Care Instructions

Wash at 30°C

  • For optimal care, we recommend washing your garments in cool water at 30°C. This gentle wash helps preserve the fabric, colors, and prints, ensuring your clothing stays vibrant and durable.

Hang Dry

  • Always hang dry your garments rather than using a tumble dryer. Air drying helps maintain the quality and longevity of both the fabric and any printed designs, reducing the risk of shrinkage, fading, or damage.

Avoid High Temperatures

  • Our products are not suitable for high-temperature washing, tumble drying, bleaching, or dry cleaning. High temperatures can cause unwanted shrinkage, fading of colors, or damage to printed designs, leading to cracking, flaking, or peeling.

Careful Ironing

  • If ironing is necessary, avoid ironing directly onto the printed designs. Instead, turn the garment inside out or use a cloth between the iron and the print to prevent any potential damage.

Fabric-Specific Care Tips

Organic Cotton

  • Wash in cool water at 30°C and hang dry. Organic cotton can shrink slightly, so reshaping and laying flat to dry is recommended to maintain the garment’s original shape.

Bamboo Fabric

  • Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and moisture-wicking. Wash on a delicate cycle with cool water at 30°C and hang dry. Avoid wringing out bamboo fabric to prevent stretching.

Linen

  • Linen is highly absorbent and dries quickly. Wash in cool water at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Air dry and iron while slightly damp for a crisp finish, taking care not to iron directly on any prints.

Wool

  • Use a wool-specific detergent and hand wash in cool water, or use a wool cycle on your washing machine. Lay flat to dry and avoid direct sunlight to prevent shrinking. Avoid ironing directly on any prints.

Hemp

  • Hemp fibers are durable and become softer with each wash. Use cool water at 30°C and a gentle detergent. Hang dry to maintain fabric integrity and avoid ironing over prints.

Stain Removal

  • Natural Stain Removers: For stains, use natural stain removers like baking soda or white vinegar. Apply directly to the stain before washing.
  • Spot Cleaning: For small stains, spot clean with a damp cloth rather than washing the entire garment.

Storage Tips

  • Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Keep your clothing in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause fading.
  • Avoid Plastic Bags: Store garments in breathable cotton bags or hang them in your closet. Avoid plastic bags, which can trap moisture and lead to mildew.

By following these care instructions, you can enjoy your Successfully Sustainable clothing for years to come while continuing to support a healthier planet.
